Total Time: 10 min prep + 7–14 days fermentation

Ingredients:

  • 🥬 1 medium green cabbage, shredded
  • 🧂 1 tbsp sea salt
  • 🌿 1 tsp caraway seeds (optional)

Step-by-Step Process:

  1. Massage shredded cabbage with salt until it releases liquid.
  2. Pack tightly into a clean jar, pressing down to cover cabbage with its liquid.
  3. Sprinkle caraway seeds on top if using.
  4. Cover loosely with a lid and let ferment at room temperature 7–14 days.
  5. Taste periodically; refrigerate when desired sourness is reached.
