Homemade Cheese Crackers (Clean Cheez-Its)

Ingredients:

  • 🧀 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese (preferably raw)
  • 🌾 3/4 cup whole wheat flour (or almond flour)
  • 🧈 2 tbsp cold unsalted butter (preferably raw)
  • 🧂 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 💧 2–3 tbsp cold water

Step-by-Step Process:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Pulse cheese, flour, butter, and salt in a food processor until crumbly.
  3. Add water, 1 tbsp at a time, until dough forms.
  4. Roll dough thin between parchment paper and cut into small squares.
  5. Bake 10–12 min or until golden and crisp.
  6. Cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
