Fish Stock

Ingredients:

  • 🐟 2 lbs fish bones (white fish preferred, no strong-flavored fish)
  • 🥕 1 carrot, chopped
  • 🌿 1 celery stalk, chopped
  • 🧄 1 clove garlic, smashed
  • 🌿 1 bay leaf
  • 🧂 1 tsp sea salt
  • 💧 6 cups filtered water

Step-by-Step Process:

  1. Place fish bones, vegetables, garlic, and bay leaf in a large pot.
  2. Add water and bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer 30–40 min, skimming foam occasionally.
  4. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a clean container.
  5. Cool, refrigerate up to 3 days, or freeze up to 3 months.
