Chana Masala

Ingredients

  • 1 cup organic chickpeas (cooked)
  • 1/2 cup organic tomatoes (pureed)
  • 1 small onion (chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tbsp fresh cilantro (chopped)

Instructions

Step by Step Process

  • Heat coconut oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.
  • Once they splutter, add chopped onions and garlic. Sauté until golden brown.
  • Add pureed tomatoes, turmeric, garam masala, and coriander powder. Cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add cooked chickpeas and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve immediately.
